This is a statement from the Bible:

The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God.

( KJV Psalm 14:1a )

Because God is creator he is worthy to be worshiped and honoured by His whole creation.

Here is another statement from the Bible:

Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. ( KJV Revelation 4:11 )

If you buy a new car and the manufacturer says if needs to have the oil changed and other services done on it on a regular basis and you decide you know better than the manufacturer and decide never to change the oil or have the other services done, you can hardly expect the car to last very long.

God has created you. He has given his instructions for our lives in the Bible.

Those who ignore God's instructions do so at their own peril. They can expect a lot of problems through life and worse to come on through eternity.

Are you regularly involved in worship of God in a Christian Church? If so, that is good; I trust that you are enjoying fellowship with God and members of God's family.

God, who designed and created this universe, knows how best what he designed and created should run: He knows what is best for you.

Those who do things according to the maker's instructions will always know the best results in their lives.

Sadly, most people, and even sadder still, many churches today, disregard God's instructions for life, thinking they know better than God.

People complain loud and long about the state of the world or comment that things are not what they used to be; but few realize that even those who complain do little, if anything, to improve the situation.

If people disregard God's directions for life, they are in no position to complain.

Many will say, "I can be a Christian without going to church!" What God says in His word, the Bible, is:

"And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching." (^KJV Heb 10:24, 25.)

God is saying that Christians are to provoke, or stir up, one another to love and good works; and to exhort one another more and more, as they recognize that the Judgement day is drawing near. God is saying that His people are not to forsake -- not to stop -- assembling together. The very least that can be said of a person who claims to be a Christian and does not meet with other Christians, is that they are disobedient to God.

And how can someone claim they love God if they disobey Him?

Jesus said:

If ye love me, keep my commandments. ( ^KJV John 14:15 )

Having said that, there are reasons why people don't attend church (don't involve themselves in a fellowship of Christian people).

1. God has not touched their lives.

2. Some have had a bad experience in a church situation.

There are many churches. If you don't want to attend the one that hurt you, there are others. Churches are not perfect and won't be until Christ comes again. They are made up of sinful people, and often contain people who are not Christians, but Christian people are people who, when they do sin, come to recognize their sin and repent. They turn from disobedience to obedience.

Someone once said that the church was a school for sinners. It is the contact with the word of God (the Bible ) and with other Christians that God uses to change people to His way of thinking.

3. Some people are not able to attend a worship service because they are ill or are too far from a good church.

But churches can be contacted, people can visit, and sermon tapes and other learning helps can be provided.

4. Some people are too busy to attend.

If so , they are too busy: God has provided one day a week to be set aside for rest, fellowship with God's people, and worship of God.. It is sinful to invade God's space with worldly or selfish matters.
